Walking into a Lush shop had always filled me with dread, the smell can be a bit overpowering to a first timer. My daughter has always loved their products though, so I have forced myself in.
I made this comment once to one of the very friendly staff members, who immediately grabbed me some coffee beans to sniff. This was a turning point for me. Suddenly I was able to enjoy the beautiful colours of the handmade bath bombs.
This week I went to Lush Bournemouth with the Bournemouth Bloggers to see their new Christmas range.
Having eczema has always made me wary of trying out new products. It hasn’t flared up for a few months, so figured I would be safe to enjoy the event to the fullest.
We were welcomed with Prosecco in one of the Lush black pots (collect 5 and get a free face mask). I must admit, this was a bit weird for me! I like Prosecco though, so not going to turn it down.
We partnered up and got arm massages with the Christmas massage bars. My massage technique was so much better than Mel’s from Geek Magnifique! I tried out the Wiccy Magic Muscles which smelt of cloves and Snow Fairy (a huge favourite scent across the Bournemouth Bloggers). Smothered in glitter, and suddenly turned into a kid in a sweet shop…I wanted everything!
I wandered around the store, experiencing it in a new way (Lush parties are the way forward, more fun and less busy). I made a Shoot For The Stars bath bomb, which was a lot harder than I expected. The Lush team are a lot more skilled than I thought (sorry!).
My favourite of the Christmas stock is the Yog Nog Yule Log bubble bar.
It smells like Christmas, a mix of egg nog and cinnamon…I am likely to end up poisoning myself as I am so tempted to eat it!
As the evening came to a close, I had a quick shopping session, grabbing a bottle of the Snow Fairy shower gel, along with some more bath bombs. I officially smell like a sweet Christmas fairy now 🙂
Thanks Lush Bournemouth for hosting and gifting some fab treats.
